Azfam Academy, which is owned and operated by Azfam Technologies (Private) Limited, has been operating in Garden East area of Karachi since 2001. It became a Workforce Development Program Partner of Oracle in 2005, and has since then, been offering training to students interested in appearing for Oracle’s OCA or OCP certifications.

WDP allows for easy and low-cost access to Oracle training in local communities across the country. The demand for skilled Oracle professionals remains strong. Oracle Certification tracks offer a variety of certification levels that map to today’s most in -demand IT job roles:

Oracle Database Administrator Certified database administrators have the expertise and knowledge base to keep an Oracle database environment up and running. Certified individuals are equipped to install, maintain, troubleshoot and fine-tune all aspects of an Oracle database.

Oracle Applications Developer

Oracle Certified Developers demonstrate proficiency in how to design, create and maintain complex Internet applications using SQL, PL/SQL™ and Oracle’s Internet Developer suite of tools.

Oracle Certification Program Overview

The Oracle Certification Program offers three distinct certification levels—Associate, Professional and Master—each designed to validate degrees of competency with Oracle technology, usage and concepts. Each level is a benchmark of expertise that is industry recognized and applicable for specific job roles. The three levels are organized to suit the needs of entry-level, professional, and senior level IT professionals. With each new credential earned, individuals validate their expertise and readiness for greater responsibility and career growth.

Three Levels of Certification:

Oracle Certified Associate (OCA):

OCA signifies apprentice-level knowledge, which provides a foundation for supporting Oracle products. An OCA credential is required for several of today’s most in-demand technology job roles.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP):

The benchmark of professional skill and technical expertise required to manage large-scale databases or to develop applications that are deployed enterprise-wide. Increasingly, the OCP credential is the standard by which IT managers evaluate qualified employees and job candidates.

Oracle Certified Master (OCM):

OCM recognizes the ultimate level of advanced/expert skill level, knowledge, and proven ability. Senior level DBAs and consultants have the most to gain from achieving the OCM. The OCM credential requires candidates to first earn Oracle9i™ DBA OCP status, and then take two advanced level Oracle University technical courses, followed by the OCM hands-on practicum exam.

Oracle Training Materials:

Oracle University curriculum, created by Oracle product development, delivers the most up-to-date Oracle education available. And as a WDP student, you have access to that same material. Students are given original Students’ kits imported from Oracle, and they have life time web access on Oracle web site, which makes it possible for them to be kept fully informed about future upgrades in curriculum and new products. Participants are also awarded Course Participation Certificates by Oracle for successful completion of each module.
